In the 2017 assembly elections, the Bhartiya Janata Party won Uttar Pradesh as the single largest party. The Samajwadi Party stood second, Bahujan Samaj Party stood third and Apna Dal(Sonelal) stood fourth in  this assembly election. Talking about the seats, in this election Bharrtiya Janata Party got 312 seats, Samajwadi Party got 47 seats, Bahujan Samaj Party got 19 seats and Apna Dal(Sonelal) got 9 seats in this election. Independent candidates as well as candidates of other parties have won the rest of the seats.

In the 2012 assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party won Uttar Pradesh as the single largest party. The Bahujan Samaj Party stood second, Bhartiya Janata Party stood third and Indian national Congress stood fourth in  this assembly election. Talking about the seats, in this election Samajwadi Party got 224 seats, Bahujan Samaj Party got 80 seats, Bhartiya Janata Party got 47 seats and Indian National Congress got 28 seats in this election. Independent candidates as well as candidates of other parties have won the rest of the seats.

In the 2007 assembly elections, the Bahujan Samaj Party won Uttar Pradesh as the single largest party. The Samajwadi Party stood second, Bhartiya Janata Party stood third and Indian National Congress stood fourth in  this assembly election. Talking about the seats, in this election bahujan Samaj Party got 206 seats, Samajwadi Party got 97 seats, Bhartiya Janata Party got 51 seats and Indian National Congress got 22 seats in this election. Independent candidates as well as candidates of other parties have won the rest of the seats.

In the 2002 assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party won Uttar Pradesh as the single largest party. The Bahujan Samaj Party stood second, Bhartiya Janata Party stood third and Indian national Congress stood fourth in  this assembly election. Talking about the seats, in this election Samajwadi Party got 143 seats, Bahujan Samaj Party got 98 seats, Bhartiya Janata Party got 88 seats and Indian National Congress got 25 seats in this election.
